About the Center

The state institution «Center for Geophysical Monitoring of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus» was established in 2001 in accordance with the decree of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus No. 50 dated May 3, 2001.

The main purpose of the activity is to carry out special work on geophysical monitoring of dangerous geodynamic phenomena and processes — seismic events of artificial and natural origin, variations in the Earth’s geomagnetic field and other parameters accompanying these processes. The mode of operation of the Center’s observation units is continuous round-the-clock observations.

More details

Seismological observations

Registration of seismic signals to determine the spatio-temporal and dynamic parameters of the sources of seismic events of natural and man-made nature

Geomagnetic observations

Registration of changes in the parameters of the Earth’s geomagnetic field

Hydrodynamic observations

Registration of parameters and characteristics of hydrodynamic processes (groundwater level)

Weekly Seismicity Review
